Default frp or smc

i am about to start on some fiberglass repairs on my 74. (just some preliminary stuff.) however i am running into some confusing and conflicting info on the net. am i dealing with frp or smc? i need to know that my repairs arent going to fall apart later. whats the story on this?

Simple answer: The repair method is the same; it's the resin that's the concern. Epoxy resin can be used on both type of 'glass.
