I've replaced all my bulbs with LED's. Not the housings though.

I'm using LEDs all around too. Had to add a resistor to the fronts to get them to flash (even with the heavy duty flasher). My front grills were pretty corroded inside the lamp housing so I used scotch brite to clean it up and then masked them off and sprayed on "chrome" paint just inside the lamp housing. New lens and gaskets and they are really bright now.

The first set of front bulbs I bought were to fat to fit correctly, they hit the side of the housing before seating (Speedway). I wound up using an 1157 bulb from a company called Putco (part #231157A-360-P). The dummy loads were from Hagan Street Rods (part # 910-03030).

I've been trying to get my hands on something like this too for my 80 did you do any modification of the housings or were they standard leds that fit in the bulb socket? I'd like to see a couple of pics too if you dont mind

They are a standard 1157 bulb base with a "cylinder" LEDs mounted to it. My '70 has clear lens so I used amber, if you have amber lenses they have white LEDs in 1157 too. There are no modifications to the housing required. Again I had to add the dummy load which is very simple.

If you just use LED replacement bulbs your fiber optics will still work. All of mine still work except for the stop/tail lights which I replaced with a complete LED lens/body replacement unit. As long as the end of the FO cable is exposed to the light, they will work.

These are the units I used for my stop/tail lights. The F O does not work with this:
