yes "Instruction" was missing on the text of that manual, just about everyone suggests having it. The car now runs OK but I have a laundry list of little things that needs to be done
For example
1. Wipers do not work
2. Headlights will only pull up if I get out of the car, kneel down and give a gently tug
3. Power window slow and passenger has to pull to go up
4. Choke issues (got Lars document)
5. Tachometer does not work
6. Dash light (around the tach) do not light
7. Assorted cables and hoses hang under the dash
The Amazon link opens to Asembly Instruction Manual. The AIM is handy to have and I recommend you make the purchase, but the AIM is not a How To document. It will not show you how to make repairs.
It will show you how the cars were assembled at the factory. It shows assembly diagrams, original part numbers, torques, and (often) notes for specific procedures. AIMs have diagnostic pages for the AC system and factory procedures for setting door glasses.
Send them the $20. Order an owner's manual if you do not have one, and see if they have the 78 GM Chassis Service Manual.
