Perhaps I'm dense. Or maybe it's because my car had lap belts only (with rusted up retractors) that I'm not sure the difference between single and dual retractors setups.
In the pictures above, is the retractor part of the shoulder harness? Does that mean the lap belt is just all loose and floppy in the seat when not in use?

One retractor is under the seat for the lap belt. If you have a shoulder belt another retractor is mounted behind the seat, on the wheel well, for this. Thus "dual retractors".

In the ones pictured above, are the lap belts the long ones that look like they would end up hanging in the door jam when I close the door and the retractor part of the shoulder harness assembly?
If so, I'm not sure why anyone would want single retractor.

Not sure what vette year you are talking about. If it's a 67 mid year
I'm not familiar with their seat belt configuration. Depending on the year, there has to be room under the seat for the lap belt retractor. C3's have this. Your right about the long ones being the lap belt though.

Thanks Kim,
I guess I need to, occasionally, change my avatar. My '67 has a lap belt with no retractors.
My '72 convertible has retractors under the seat but they are rusty from occasional downpours with the top down. It is a lap belt only car. From the previous post it seems my original belts are not worth restoring
I'm curious about the configuration shown above. It says "factory style". I'm just not familiar with the ones in the pictures.

Have you installed them yet? What you point out about 69-71's makes a lot os sense. Would love to order these for my 69 as well. Thanks.

What is the difference between your set, and the set that you link to?
