Hi y'all .... I'm back with questions....
My Bella has had all her major mechanical issues addressed. Carpet and seat belts were replaced today, and she goes into paint/body next Monday. One new small problem... She has started stalling when I come to a stop and let her idle or give her gas and let off the accelerator. I called the shop who fixed her for guidance. He said it could be that the carburetor or spark plugs are gunked up. He recommended I take her out on the freeway and open her up to clean it out. I did that, took her to 90ish a couple times for a few miles each times (she' did good)...
We were out for an hour drive averaging 65mph. As soon as I came off the fwy, she stalled. Again when we got to the driveway at home, several times as I was backing her into the garage.
The shop did tell me if she kept acting up she would need to come back for more work... Any thoughts or input?
You guys really helped me out last time.... Just looking for other angles :-)
Sounds to me like either a spark or fuel delivery issue.
Have you checked plugs / wires and have you had any work done on the carb?
Good luck , I'm sure it's something simple.
I'd check your timing to start with, and then look at the carb after that. Also this is a left field dinger, but inspect your rubber fuel inlet hose from the frame to the fuel pump to make sure it is a stock style hose and not bulk, which can pinch at an angle like the one required on a C3.
