Are you painting it yourself, or shopping it out? Where has it been?

Had to Google Axton, since I've never heard of it. Looks like another 79 is getting saved! Keep us updated on your progress. Of course I'm partial to 79's!

The ground work looks laid out. What's the schedule? Body paint then the interior then running?

Looks ready for some lovinn'.

Been there once, spring race '92. Saw Earnhardt win! I'm about 5 miles from RIR. I can hear the race if it's a clear night and the wind is blowing toward my house.

Nice. Is the pearl in the basecoat, or are you doing a three stage base/pearl/clear?

Any plans of stripes, or you keeping it simple and classy?

the pearl is all in the base,so its just base clear shoot
might stay classy but thought about something subtle like one of these

If you go with a stripe, you might want to keep it to the hood only. Problem with stripes on 74-79's is there is no good place to end the stripe on the back. There's no rear body line, it just slopes off. A 80-82 bumper cover would give you more options.

And just to tempt you, a stunning car in maroon w/stripe. Belongs to CF member Curby.
