I bought a '79 corvette, with a new motor, and the only problem the car has is that the belts squeal really bad. Enough wear caused my alternator belt to break so I put new belts on it and it still wearing them out the same. I was wondering has anyone had to adjust the powersteering and alternator, and how much work is it? By looks of it the power steering is pushed to far out and this is causing my troubles but I don't know what power steering will fit. Thanks.

Sounds like the replacement engine wasn't a Corvette engine, and it has incorrect pulleys on it, causing a misalignment.
i will get pics soon, but i dont think you will be able to see just from a picture because of how minor the changes are to get it right but once i figure out how to post the pics i will. and the replacement engine is a corvette engine, the guy bought it from boss hoss.
Boss Hoss does motorcycles dont they? If you look real close are there any washers behind the mounts to push them out farther? that is all you would have to do is take out the washers...

And I'm sure that Boss Hoss does whatever they need to do, in order to get the "Corvette engine" to fit in their motorcycle frame...
Purchase the 79 assembly instruction manual (AIM). The AIM shows all of the factory pullies and brackets, shows the correct installation, lists part numbers for them, shows the correct belt routing, and lists part numbers for the belts.
