Default C-3 Power Door Lock Problems
The power door locks on my '79 only lock the right (passenger side) door, not the driver's side. Neither side will unlock when a switch is operated. I know that the switch connector plug on the driver side door needs to be replaced but I don't know if there are many other common problems to look for besides replacing the entire power door lock harness and both actuators. Anyone out there had experience working on these?

Start there. I don't see why harnesses or actuators need to be replaced if the connector will do the trick.

When i got my 1980 neither switch would work. So i took the switches out and sanded the little pins on the back of them. They both work good now.

when you mention switches are you refering to the actual door lock cylinders,?

Sounds like he's referring to the contact pins between the switches and their plugs.
