I thought some of my Corvette Brothers might get a kick out of this story I saw in the Orlando Sentinel. I know I did!
A pair of would-be carjackers targeting a Corvette outside Orlando Regional Medical Center were foiled because they couldn't operate the vehicle's stick shift, according to a MyFoxOrlando.com report.
"My first thought was, I guess we don't have driver's ed in school anymore, 'cause no one knows how to drive a stick," said the car's owner, who explained that the armed carjackers ordered him out of his car and onto the ground, and later fled when they couldn't get the Corvette to drive.
Serves the dips**** right. That's another reason I bought a stick. I just think it is the way a Corvette was meant to be driven. Love my 4/speed manual 80!
