I have done research, however I can't find the best stainless side pipes and headers for a 1973 Big Block. I have ceramic Headman headers on now and want to pull them to put a stainless set and matching pipes. It appears easier to find them for the Small Block, so does anyone have an idea of where I can get them for the BB? Two things to keep in mind: I don't want the Hooker brand due to lack of qaulity or pipes that have fiber glass covers. I want SEXY Stainless all the way around.... Cost is not really a factor! Ideas?
What I have heard is that ALL of the stainless systems you see on ebay are made in China, I have OBX small block system on my car, works, fits, sounds great. Some claim that XS is made in the USA etc, but there are countless articles online that there stuff is not made in the USA.
Thanks. I have had trouble calling both companies direct...I find that interesting. OBX doesn't have a phone number and XS doesn't either...sounds like there is a market for this in the US. Any other brands out there?
Listen I am not here to blow smoke up someone's *** and I am a critic as well as a state certified welder in my day . we have a vendor on the forum Huron speed that makes a fantastic set of long tube headers, side pipes in all stainless with mounts incredible fit with OEM. Rocker panels,A/C, power steering, power brakes . Perfect fit and most important ; fiberglass muffler insert included ,noting to go bad. I had the hooker set up on 1967 BB convertible no comparison.
I have XS on my 73, and a buddy has them on his 69. Both work and sound great - a little quiet for my taste (Harley driver), but they're really easy to work with and clean up is great.

Huron Speed's sidepipes are the same brand as the eBay posting.
Ok Huron is the one on e-bay. The tig welder did a excellent job perfect start/ stop on all welds.thick flange makes very rigid assembly and they surpllied race exhaust gaskets.mine was package with with individual bubble wrap around every pipe and spacers in box to prevent ups from damage.whatnot to like!
the tig welder....most likely is a Chinese person, which is fine, but just know they arent made here, seems they are the same product marketed under different name brands...
