Saw it in person in Coco Beach FL on Hot Rod Power Tour. It's is done nicely.
Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for. Looks like it's truly one of a kind. I think that body would look great in the convertible. Minus the wing I think this is the coolest C3 I've ever seen. And I'm a huge C3 fan.
I hope they bring back the C3 lines with the C8. They seem to have paid tribute to the C2 with the C7 so it seems the logical next step. I think it's my favorite design for it's time frame and they also seem to sound the best.
I really like those Eckler fastback clips. This one has been on ebay for ages.
Only asking 500 bucks for it, but that is a lot of work to gain a little interior room. I wonder where you get a window for it?
If looking only for interior room would a swap to a "bubble" window be more economical? You would have the glass and hardware, you would have the interior pieces, the bumper cover would be replaceable, there would be more room and better visibility and some bubble window guys might even trade you for free
Trade what? Their bubble window car for mine? I much prefer the long sail panels of th 68-77. The fastback conversion keeps the same side profile of the car, but adds a little custom touch when seen from the rear.
I like it more for aesthetics than function, although I could see where the room would come in handy.
Now if in the future my car was rear-ended and needed a new clip, this would be my first option if I could find one.
I was thinking about the rear body shell like the pic, not the whole car, since you indicated "more room" would be nice....
I should clarify that the clip is one I've been watching on Ebay, not one I'm trying to sell. I like the design, but that is one project that I'm prepared to get into for the time being. I think it would be easier to mod my car like Denpro is doing should I get the inclination.

That car looks beautiful and it sounds awesome also, that picture was taken at the DuPont car show every third Saturday of the month. He's always there and the ground just shake when he's coming.
DuPont Registry is in St.Petersburg Florida and I will be there tomorrow.
