Default power valve mod

Hello,
I've always felt that the power sterring on my 1974 provided too little assistance. I tore the power valve apart and replaced the stock springs with weaker springs. The result was much better power assistance but a bit to much. This was 20 years ago and my vette was totaled for me about 15 years ago and has been in storeage. (outside) I'm now getting ready to get my old baby back on the road and was wondering if anyone has made this modification on their power valve? What I'm looking for is a kit that one would offer or at least the spring rate that would work best. I could do the trial and error but looking to save time and effort. Car will be a daily driver not a race car.
Have a great day,
Bob

From: central FL, near the beach.
Default

the c7 has like 12 or 14 settings for the PS. 1 that would work best all the time for everyone is a fantasy.
Get a new spring, a little stiffer and try it.
the ball stud can be left on the car, so it is not such a big deal to change a spring.
I also went "too light", but after a few years using it, i never complain about the PS. And NOW it never feels too light.
