Default Side pipe cover question

This summer, I bow not to get burn again getting out the car by the side pipes.

I called Eckler's and inquired about one of the side pipe they have in stock. It's chrome with stingray written on it ($549 pr.). However, sales person could not supply me with answers on how it's installed (i.e. do i have to take the pipes off to slide it and etc.). Does anyone have experience with installing the side pipe cover on a C3 and whether it can be bolted on without taking the pipes off?

Thanks.

They are mirror polished stainless steel and come with stainless steel clamps with heat wrap so the side pipes wont get scratched, no need to remove the side pipes. They can be installed in minutes using a screwdriver. By turning the shields up so the clamping is not visible looking down, as shown below.

That is some sweet looking covers. Price around 550 also? Do they have any shakes or vibration since it's clamped or very sturdy and stable?

Thanks for the information.

They are tight as can be but if your pipes are loud you probably won't hear anything but the sweet sound of that V8 anyways.

Dean's shields are great quality, great looks and easy installation. You will not be dissappointed; I absolutely love mine.
