I found the Build Sheet (Corvette Order Copy) in my 70 and can't quite make out some of the information.
In the "Paint" box it says "Daytona Yello" (w missing) and I can read 03984AA... 51
What should the Paint number be?
Here is the rest:
03403AB Trim BLACK CUSTOM INTERIOR

03C60AA Air Con. 4-SEASON AIR CONDITIONING
Transistor Ign.

Not sure of some of these option numbers because they are very hard to read even with a lit magnifying glass.

984 is the code for Daytona Yellow. I added the bold. The Corvette Blackbook lists your missing/illegible option codes. C07 for the optional hard top painted. The code for the folding top would be the color (white, black, or beige).

Thanks Mike. I didn't write that question very well. My bad.
What I am looking for is the missing characters in the set 03984AA... 51
Specifically, the "..." part.
I would need somebody with a legible build sheet for a 1970 Daytona Yellow car to read their sheet for me... or just somebody with vast knowledge on this.
The car is a Coupe so the option codes for the hard top and convertible top are intentionally omitted by GM. The car also does not have the Transistorized Ignition, so that option code is also omitted by GM on this build sheet.
What I am trying to do is reconstruct a faded build sheet for my records and future owners.
Can you scan your build sheet? You can scan these, open them in Paint, save them as .jpg files, diddle with the image/pixels in Paint and sometimes make them more legible.

Sorry Tom, all I have is a build sheet for a sparsely optioned 1969 Daytona Yellow car. Forget the vast knowledge part...maybe Mr. Ward will appear.

Yup. Already tried that... color... grayscale... black & white... high definition etc... it can't be read. There's a crease in it that runs directly through the "Paint" box. The ink is gone in that spot.
The eye is an amazing device... fills in what it expects to see LOL.
I can see it better with a small magnifying glass than with the scanner.
Zone 13 was the Pittsburgh, PA zone back in the late 1960s/early 1970s. It encompassed western Pennsylvania more or less (a few dealerships in eastern Ohio as well).
The original dealer name would have been between Ross and Shaffer alphabetically, but that name may have changed over the years so that may or may not help you.
Ignore my comments on early build (although it still may be)... I thought that you mentioned "Transistor Ignition," but I see that is only a line heading, not an actual option on your car.
Sounds like a nice car... What are your plans with it?
Most of the Chevrolet line was using a two digit paint code at this time... Corvette was the exception (but eventually went to a two digit code as well by 1974). You'll see reference to two digit codes intermittantly from 1970 through 1973 on various Corvette documents even though the trim tag still used the three digit code.
Daytona yellow was code 51 for other Chevrolet cars that offered that color in 1970 (such as Camaro) so that doesn't surprise me to see 51 on your build order... I would still expect to see 984 on your trim tag.

I guess it's possible that the number in the Paint section is correct just as I have it then?
03984AA 51
I am currently tearing the front end off and cleaning it all up.. new bushings, tie rod ends, adjusting sleeves, brake lines, radiator etc. It has the original drive train except for the intake/carb. The radiator support has seen better days but after sandblasting it I've decided to re-use it. Also going through the headlights etc. Rebuildng the original P/S pump, maybe having the steering cylinder (stamped 131 70) rebuilt and sent back to me. It's not leaking, but the shaft is slightly pitted and the ball stud seat is worn. Replacing the differential side yokes as well. Going through the steering box (I've done these before). The coil springs still have the GM labels attached... if they're legible, I'm going to try to sandblast them without losing the tags. Refinishing the exhaust manifolds. And the list goes on & on.

Schade definitely falls between Ross and Shaffer. I know that area pretty well, but don't recall the dealership. Very small town... Would have been tough to live off business in that area alone. Latrobe is the "big" town near by and there already was (is) a Chevy dealership there. Maybe someone more familiar with Ligonier can fill you in on Schade Chevy-Olds.

It's fine... No issue.

According to Juliette Pages 70 Corvette Registry, the build date is June 10th, 1970...
The F10 on your trim tag is the time/build code (June 10th). On Wednesday, June 10th, 1970, your car passed the station on the assembly line where the trim tag was attached. It probably was not finished that day. Your shipping data report will probably show June 11 or June 12.
