windshield chrome top strip
Hi Guys ,
Well i am at the closing stages of getting my 1980 vette finished and now am stuck with fitting the windshield back into the vehicle . It was removed when it went for spraying .
There was no problem with the fit of the top chrome strip before and the winshield fitted and was sealed nicely . Now i am struggling to get the chrome strip in an tight up against the glass . The shape just seems incorrect in the corners , but i bought a new strip because the old chrome strip had a small dent on the edge .
The two strips look identical with the exception that the old strip had areas ground out where the screw heads for the corner moulds protruded, i am not sure if this is normal or a windscreen company has done it in the past to help with the fitting . I have replaced all the clips as well as fitted new screws , any one have an idea on this one its really starting to get me p**d off .
