Default Going crazy

As the title says I'm going a bit nuts trying to figure out my my lights. Back story I bought the car with no dash, wires or engine compartment wires. I then found another 78 and took needed items. Here are my issues at this point

-when I turn on my lights the bright light indicator comes on, but my brights are not on, and when I turn them on it goes off.

-I have turn signals when my lights are off, but when I turn them on, I don't have passenger side turn signals only drivers side.

-hazards don't work I get the <> on the indicator, but it doesn't flash and the lights don't get brighter

To add to the issue, the car has a body kit installed and no longer uses the stock front lights, so now it uses an led type. The drivers side works as it should, and one brown wire is hanging, but is for the parking light, which the led doesn't use, and yet some how is dim when the parking lights come on, and blinks when in use as a turn signal, and the side marker light comes on as a blinker only

the passenger side when the lights are on, comes on steady but the side maker is off just like the driver side, but when you turn right nothing happens.

So as it stands right now if I want to drive around at night I can only make left turns

I'm not sure what is at fault here or missing. Not even sure if the headlight switch is working as it should. Any help would be great and thanks in advance.

I do have wire dia, followed it, the only thing I have yet to really do, is go back in the dash and mess around with the headlight switch. I was kinda hopeful that with some of the issues I was having it would point to something that maybe someone else has had go wrong before I start ripping into the dash.

Don't just 'start ripping into the dash' unless you not only have the wiring diagram, but the Factory Service Manual. Take pictures as you're taking it apart and bag and tag all the screws, nuts and bolts. Take your time doing this.

I also would have a DVM or Digital Volt Meter that can test resistance and voltage. Another highly useful tool is the 'Power Probe' and you can apply 12v to any point in the car. If you have experience troubleshooting electrical or can learn, then you're good to go, but if you don't think you can pull this off, I'd find a good auto electrical guy.

I have yet to check resistance, but I pulled the head light switch out and cleaned up the contacts and still no change

-turn on parking lights the bright light indicator comes on

-turn on parking lights the passenger side blinker doesn't work

-turn off parking lights blinkers act as they should, though the passenger side is slower than the drivers side.

Hazards don't work at all... have yet to really mess with that issue.

As it stands right now my steering column is dropped to gain access to the headlight switch, looking at things it all seems to be how it should be...

Still lost.... also here is some more info

Light blue is the drivers side blinker, and black is ground and is hooked up to led light. The brown wire that used to be used for parking is not used, and yet when the parking lights are on it lights up. To also not on the drivers side the side marker is wired by the light blue wire and a brown wire, and yet it all works as it should

On the passenger side I tried the same thing and nothing, well the passenger side uses a dark blue wire, but the rest is the same, and still no results other than when the parking lights are on it works like it should till I go to use it as a turn signal, then nothing happens it remains lite, and the rear light remains lite as well, not brighter just parking light lit.

so lost....

sounds like you have turning lights that are not working.some cars
have this feature.on the front fenders were the side marker lights are there will be two bulbs in the housing one small and one large. If there is two you have turning lights .If the bulbs are bad the large ones that is it will make everything not work right the circuit needs the resistance of the bulbs to work right

on every one of the items on your check list - it looks like you're missing a ground wire.

Seems like every time we see goofy light problems it's always the ground.
