Default 68 early vert cowl braces

Is it possible to install cowl braces, mine does not have them, I believe I have a set lined up w/ sadle bracket or is it going to be a pita? Taking out the dash panels is not an issue.

You could probably install them. The AIM shows them and the parts you will need.

Good luck.

My concern would be the connecting points. If the saddle bracket that you're referring to is the cast iron chunk, you'll have the attaching points for one end of each of the three braces on the driver's side. I'm guessing that the chassis brackets for the other ends would have to be obtained and welded into place. Same for both ends of the passenger-side brace. See the following for a partial pic.

Thank you sir, that was my fear, sounds like I would have to fab and attach some brackets.

Great pic, better than the AIMS manual, do you have AC? I think there may be a different brace for AC cars? I would really like to get them installed on my car, we have great roads in Nashville, but the ocasional pot holes kill me, I feel like I'm in my wooden go cart when I was a kid.

This may help although it is 1974. Code C60 is A/C.

Yes, I have A/C. The upper brace is curved a bit to clear the A/C ductwork. I doubt that the saddle is different.

I do not have pics of the driver's side. Sorry! This was part of a heater core replacement.
