Default First Vette Restoration

Former Mustang lover turned Vette lover. Purchased 1975 barn find with 25,000 miles on it. I am third owner cleaning up mistakes from last owner's mods. Splice city. Removed dash and ductwork to get full access to wiring so repairs can be done correctly. I need help determining what the white plastic box is that was zip tied around steering column under dash. It has four small wires connected to it and a black adjustable screw. Any body have knowledge of what this is?

Thanks

Welcome! Glad you turned from the dark side!
Pictures always help - especially on something like this. As I'm sure you know, behind the dash is a scary place but there is a lot of knowledge here.

Where did those 4 wires connect? Maybe some sort of aftermarket rev limiter? Or part of an alarm system? Trace them and we can deduce what it's function is.

Order the 75 assembly instruction manual (AIM). Your box is a relay; can't recall at the moment whether it's horn or wipers.
