I have a 1980. Almost finished with the interior . I changed it to red. And was thinking about painting the exterior a dark metallic red. I was hoping to see some pictures. Or get some ideas.
Those are going to look great on your car!!! What's the countdown to getting her out of storage???

I had hoped for the end of March but it looks like 6" of snow on Tuesday. So the annual road salt "flush" brought on by rain will be delayed this year by I would say two weeks. That is OK. I use April to get things ready for summer and there is not much to do this year. Basically just to re-do my front DRLs after a module went bad last summer. The vendor made good with a new one under warranty. I have several sets of front lamp extensions to fool with. And then put those new wheels on. A one-hour job. I will sell the Centerlines and tires locally.
Then there is the hardtop that I refurbishing with a few $$$s to say the least. That was my winter project. I am having druthers about that despite all new hardware, weatherstrip, deck protectors, etc. I hurt my shoulder recently and I cannot lift it, even with the Wife's help. So it may remain a nice accessory in the basement when I sell the car. But I would sure like to see it on the car for April/May, then off for the summer. We shall see.
Yepper, understan completely Paul... They had briefly mentioned that we "may" get snow tomorrow in DC, yuck!!! Got to stop washing and detailing my daily driver... Seems like we get bad weather every time I clean her up...
Sure someone is around that can help you get the top on!!! If not, install one of those hoists in the garage to pick it up for you...
Looking forward to seeing the new wheels and hard top on your beauty...

I was thinking the same thing. I may have to go that way now that both my sons are out of the house at college.
BTW: I really like that cart you have your hardtop on. Did you make that or did you buy it? Beats wrapping it in moving blankets and leaning it up against the basement wall like mine. I also spent a lot of $$ redoing my HT weatherstrip, etc. Man, that stuff's expensive!

Sorry about the thread hijack....
I ordered the carrier from a company here in Canada but generally they source Eckler's products.
