This is the alternator that came on my 70 LS5. It's supposedly a 100 amp alternator. The ground bolt hole is right up against the valve cover (Crane reproduction). Is this the correct alternator? The AIM shows the electrical connection coming in from the side like you would see on a "9 o'clock" alternator but shows the ground bolt in the same location as mine. The "9 o'clock" alternator has the bolt hole near the top so it would resolve the problem. Thoughts?
Thanks everyone. The alt on Mooser's car is what I need. My car is an A/C car and the part number on the unit is not 1100884 and is stamped 100A so it's off of something other than a corvette.
Re-Clocking a 10si is pretty straight forward, or if it's not something you want to get into, take it to a local alt/starter shop and they should be able to do it while you wait.

I've got a 1971 LS5 and the alternator on yours is definitely clocked wrong. The regulator wires should be pointing towards the driver fender. The assembly manual shows it in this position.
