I got the rest of the shelving removed/modified this morning. I had to haul the compressor into the garage through the house since it couldnt fit between the 68 and the blasting cabinet. The wife wasn't too thrilled lol. It wasn't much fun moving it into place by myself, but O managed. I'm planning on mounting the compressor onto 4x4s with rubber pad for some vibration isolation.
About the only thing I'm not confident in doing is messing with wiring it up. I have an electric dryer plug right near the compressor. I think the breaker needs to be changed to a lower amp one. The dryer plug can be removed and the compressor could be wired directly to a new breaker. This will probably be done when my father in law gets back from Florida in a few weeks.
To mount the compressor to the floor. Go buy some hockey pucks, drill a center hole and use that as your rubber mount.
I have heard that. I was thinking about mounting it on some 4 x 4's with some rubber pads or hockey pucks to get it off the ground and easier to get to the drain.
So David made an offer to pick up my chassis to bring back to Easton to restore. I just have to bring it about 4 hours south of me in Indiana next next weekend. That drastically cuts my timeline for removing the body from the car. Looks like I'm going to be working like a dog this weekend to get body bolts removed and either build a frame to lift the body with or rig my engine hoist to lift the body. I'm leaning towards building a frame structure in my garage to use to lift the body off so that I can use it to hold the body up when doing under body fiber glass repairs. Let's just say, things may be getting crazy on this restore in the coming days.
I coud send you a pound of New Orleans coffee grounds........
you'd be awake for 48 hours in a row with NO problem...................
I don'tthink that will be enough. Couldn't sleep so I was just out in the garage soaking body bolts and removing brackets that would be in the way of the body lift.
BTW good luck and have fun Chuck! Sold my 91 Camaro Z28 to my cousin and was going to deliver it in two weeks. He told me today he decided to come pick it up. Tomorrow! Got a lot to do to get it ready so I may join you burning the midnight oil!
We are going to try something "new" for me and it involves Chuck and his 69 "Charlie Boy" chassis.
I will be making a delivery run to bring a 1972 Coupe to it's new owner in far Western Indiana/Far Eastern Illinois and I would be returning home empty with my Sparty trailer, so I contacted Chuck and said lets see if we can "meet" along Interstate 70 and transfer his chassis into my trailer and allow me to bring it home.
This would be a great opportunity to deliver some parts as well if anyone has them and wants to connect along the I-70 during my trip.
I'll post a note on the C-3 General site as well but if you could spread the word and have anyone interested have them PM me please.
If the 6th does not work we will go for the 20th as our "snow" date.

David, got your email about going for the 20th now. Kinda glad I have an extra couple of weeks to get the chassis detached and arrange a trailer.
I spent another hour and a half in the garage after dinner and a movie with the misses. I managed to break most of the body bolts loose. And by that, I mean I broke the cage nuts loose. I did manage to actually remove the #2 bolt on the passenger side and snap the #2 driver side bolt. Tomorrow I will be picking up a die grinder and some bits to take car of the rest of the body bolts. I will also be cleaning out around the car in anticipation of building a frame structure to use to lift the body off the car. Gunner, I'm gonna need that coffee tomorrow.

The chassis will be so much easier to handle with the body off, the engine, transmission and gas tank off of it. Makes taking it apart much easier and safer. Looking forward to it Chuck. Remember to make the journey fun, that is why we are all doing this.
