'76 Tire Help Needed

'76 Tire Help Needed

I have a '76 with incorrect tires. I have tires labeled P255/60R-15, apparently P225/70R-15 is really what is supposed to be on the car. Should I put the correct tires on for better performance and drivability?? What is the draw back to leaving the incorrect tires on?

It's personal preference. The 255's will provide a wider footprint for better traction, and also have a little less of a side wall for better performance. The 225's will provide that OEM look with decreased performance.
