That is what I was afraid of...would have stayed like that for the next ten years. Now after three hours of playing with mine, can take the wife for a ride in my cleaned up car tonight.
Very nice. We recently painted a dash in one of our Bronco projects. Duplicolor dash paint works very nice. We used a Satin finish. Again, good looking. Al
I used Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric coating Medium Gray (for my car should have been Smoke Gray)...$7 at O'Reilly's auto parts. Could have had correct color mixed at local Sherman Williams auto paint store for $35. or ordered raddle can from on-line Corvette store for $13 + $7 shipping, but being next of kin to Bubba took his route and like my steering wheel horn button fix, happy with the results.
i used duplicolr rattle can on my 81 and could not have been happier. nice to see others have had good results also. clean well and scuff with a sos or brillo pad for good adhesion. everytime ive ever mentioned duplicolor i ve never heard of anyone else to have the good results i had. most tend top recommend sem. i understand it works great , too. i even used the duplicor with great results when i dyed my seats on my pontoon boat also.

As the wife and I were going for ride last night to celebrate our 25 TH wedding anniversary she said "Now why would you ever paint the dash a different color than rest of interior?" So now, what I thought was a damn good job, I get to do over again...with the right color match. Oh well, practice makes perfect.

I guess listening to your wife is why you've been married for 25 yrs. Congratulations
