77 Rear end
I have a 1977 3:08 rear end that came as an extra rear end with my 67 427 Convertible - seems that the owner of 36 years had the 77 rear end in the car and the seller I bought the car from put the original 3:70 back in during a engine/trans rebuild, etc. I am going to have Bairs rebuild the 3:08 and put back in the car as I drive the 67 quite a bit and 3:70's and side pipes of the freeway just do not mix! 
Question to your C3 guys since I have not opened up the carrier- in 1977was all rear ends posi? I know that I will have to use the "U" bolt set up (instead of the caps/bolts that I have now with a big block C2) and I know this rear end was in the car for many years, but is there anything else that is different other than the ID/Date and U Bolt set up? I am not going to pound on this car so I should be ok with the U Bolt setup.
