Default rechromed bumper

got my front bumper and guards back today.
From Virginia vets.

I'm very happy with the results and, I'm glad I sent them to Virginia vetts because one of my guards was no good after sand blasting. Dick had one to sell me at a great price the turn around time was excellent as well as the price. I don't think I could have done better anywhere. I should have wiped my finger prints off before taking the pictures. it's like xmas time as a little boy though!

steffan,
If you don't mind, what did they hit you for to do the chroming? I have to do that myself and just getting ready for sticker shock. Trying to hold off until i meet a friend that works in the plating business but so far, no luck.

245. front 55. ea for guards.I think that is a great price. some places I checked said 190. ea for the guards and told me better to buy repros. due to the cost difference. I think v.vettes does the rears for 199 ea. They are really nice to deal with too.
I don't like some places that treat us like a** hol** For me it worked out really well to go with them, that's why I am letting everyone know.

Default Bumpers

Rears are 199.00 plus shipping.

MIne are ready. Had to cancel my credit card due to someone stealing the info or I would have them already.

Should have them in about a week or so once I get the replacement CC.

Sounds like a lot of very satisfied customers of VV

Be glad you didn't waste money or time on repop bumper guards. They do not fit. At all. They were the thing that convinced me that 99% of repop parts are crap.

Steffan, your bumpers/guards look fantastic! I need my bumper guards rechromed on my 68 and the rears on my 73.

3 weeks and a few days from Virginia vetts. Dick was very nice to deal with. When one of my bumper guards was sand blasted it blew a hole in it. Dick told me he wasn't a fan of welding over it because the acid bath would eat some of it away and, it would be like foil. He had one in stock to replace mine and also sent my old one back so I could see it. I did a lot of research on where to send my stuff. Price, time, and customer satisfaction all played a part.I really could not have done better.

I just don't understand the pricing..

$245.00 for the front, which is one large piece.

$398.00 for the rears, which is two small pieces.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me...

Welcome to the Corvette world!!

If the chrome shop were doing Camaro or Mustang bumpers, the job would be half that price!!

Most chrome shops charge over $300 for the front bumper and take 6 months to do them the price is based on the area done and polishing time.
