I stole this idea from a fellow member. I haven't wired them up yet but I'll see how they look I guess. $30 off ebay. Pretty cheap feeling but o well.
I just don't like how the current lights are wired so I'll probably do a complete rewire.
Have all 4 LED circles be the running lights. Then have the 4 circles+2 outside centers be brakes. Then I think I'll make the 4 circles+2 outside+ 2 inside be for backing up... maximum light.

What you want to look for are Side Emitting LED's that are SMD(surface mounted diode).
99% of them on ebay are 1 LED every 2CM...which i did not want. So I found the one guy who sold the 1LED/cm and ordered those. Wished I could have found the larger 5050 LED at 1/cm but couldn't.
There's ton of cool stuff they sell so I'm sure someone can come up with an even cooler idea than me!
Well I'm guessing 7t2vette used what I'm finding out to be called an "angel eye"
comes in a few different types. Maybe I'll swap out my cheapo LED's for the fancy angel eye type. Thinking I might like the COB continuous looking one.
Being the cheapo that I am I'm going to try and reuse my old lights even though they were super rusty(all the bolts snapped) and the previous owner decided it was okay to just paint over them.
About to order a set of Angel eyes lol. So the cheap LED taillights just turned into expensive ones lol.
I have been watching this thread too. today I found this DIY video. watching it you could make almost any shape you wanted. I bet its really cheap too. I might make one just to see if I can.
Any updates? I've been watching this thread with great interest.
I messaged 7t2vette a while back and he said not to buy the "angel eye" lights till he got back to me since he was at an Easter event...but haven't heard back from him since.
My spray on tint and bulbs came in today so i could potentially install my original plan and upgrade later on if his way is that much nicer looking.
I chose to tint the rear lights 1. So i didn't have to buy new reverse light lenses to eliminate the white part. and 2. I like the look.
I'll work on it some tonight and see what I can come up with.
I just got a message from 7t2vette and he said that he is planning on posting it up in the next few days! I would love to see what you guys do before starting my own.
