Can someone take a picture of what this weatherstrip area looks like? That is where the upper length of the window meets the T-top weatherstrip. What does that contact area look like?
On 68-69E tops, the weatherstrip was molded in 2 pieces, with the piece over the door glass, molded separate from the other 3 sides of the rubber. On 69L-77 tops, the weatherstrip is molded in one piece, and snaps into a retainer strip, over the door glass. The rubber on 78-82 tops, is one piece also, but has metal molded into the rubber, in the area over the door glass, eliminating the need for the retainer. There was no other weatherstrip, installed on t-tops.
Below are a couple pictures of the weatherstrip, on my 81 glass tops. This is the original, factory installed, GM rubber. If you have painted tops, they still use the same weatherstrip. Painted tops won't have the plastic trim around the latch handle, and the trim around the edge of the top is different, but the same weatherstrip is used and it's installed the same way.
