CRAZY that I too live in Michigan... and drove 3 hours... and also bought an 82 on the same day 4/20/13

Its a good cruiser car, it's the first with the 700r4 4 speed overdrive automatic transmission. They also came with a composite monoleaf spring for the rear suspension. The reason the crossfire injection system has a knick on it's reputation is that the intake manifold itself was choked down. If you were to remove it, you'll notice that the ports on the intake are signifigantly smaller than those on the cylinder head which restricts the airflow to the cylinders. The problems i had with mine were vacuum leaks, and other normal things you would get with an older car. But overall easy to work on.
