EXACTLY WHY I kept the same wheel center line on my '72.....using later C4 17" rims, moving the ebrake mount tab, and still clearing the sway bar.....

NOT putting any extra loading on that spindle/suspension, even thought it was all new in '95 so 18 years and fine.....

ANY M/E out there will recite the first law.....

Just a thought to keep the price reasonable.
Quite honestly I'm not crazy about the wheels I chose anymore. I loved them when I got them, but over time they have worn off from me...so in kind of stumped.
