Advice needed
I found this '74 in my area. Going to look at it in next day or two. http://austin.craigslist.org/cto/3732241942.html 
Any advice on what to look for and the right questions to ask would be greatly appreciated

Do a forum search on checklists and you'll find a lot to look for. Try to bring somebody who knows Vettes if at all possible. I like them both. The 81' is a four speed car, which I like. The 74', though, looks really good, but look carefully at the alignment of the body parts.

1) find the checklist on here and use it
2) don't get too excited even if the car is really nice stay firm and negotiate price
3) take somebody who knows corvettes
4) listen to your gut
5) put it up on a lift a get a good look under the car, this is the hardest place to hide stuff and you will learn the truth about the car
6) if the person gets nervous about letting you examine the car on the lift, just walk away
