Default 69 Body Mount Conversion

I'm sure this has been covered before but I seem to be useless when I try to do a search. It's almost time to set the body back on and I wondered if it is best to use the original style aluminum or should I look at the rubber or poly bushings. It seems this might be a good chance to improve the already awesome ride characteristics and feel of the early C3.
All opinions apreciated. Some more than others.
Thanks, Dan

I don't think there would be much difference between the aluminum and poly mounts. Rubber cushions, should improve the ride, but it might not be enough that you would ever notice.

You can use the complete 73-82 body mount kit, if you want to go to rubber cushions. The rubber cushions will cause the car to sit marginally higher. The rubber cushions may be a little kinder, to that fragile 45 year old fiberglass too.

I read somewhere that if you use the poly cushions from later model cars they are too high and need to be cut down. I assume that the rubber ones are not as thick and they will compress a little. Have been trying to figure the actual result of having an extra 1/4" or 3/8" in thickness, but it hurt my brain and I stopped. I guess I'll go crazy and get the rubber. Thanks for your input..
