restoring PO2 hubcaps
Hey everyone!
Getting ready to restore a set of PO2 hubcaps and am not sure of the black coloring surrounding the main hubcap.
My plan is to buff and polish all the raised spokes and then mask them with radiused 1/8" wide x 2" long die cut vinyl stickers and then spray the hubcap. I am thinking it is semi gloss black. I would like to use a self etching epoxy paint but can only find it in satin black. Any thoughts?

I have a set of original PO2's and the black looks more gloss than semi, the paint in between the spokes looks more semi. I agree with using epoxy paint it will bond a lot better than spray paint.

Bob, post some pics if you can during the process, I also have them and will be doing the same thing for the 74. the before and after pics would be a big help...thanks....Tom
