Garmin in C3
Put my Garmin in the vette the Saturday for a trip and thought man lots of wires, Garmin and radar detector.
Would really like to incorporate the Garmin into the dash/console some way.
Need some pics of what you have? Need to keep Garmin up, may hang it from the dash on drivers side. Run wires up in the windshield pillar.

I assume putting in a flip up radio is no option? To avoid all the wiring that was my choice. I only use the GPS to find meetings, not when I'm just cruising, so the screen is mostly down. Nevertheless, it also has handsfree and ran the wire for the mic from a seperate fusebox in the rear where the module is up the B-post and underneath the Tbar trim so it comes out the rear view mirror area. The GPS receiver I ran behind the ducts at the front and the wire in between the firewall and the upper dash so it comes behind the windshield defroster grill, barely noticable.

Melwff thanks for the link to mountguys, nice find.
Dembo, the flipup radio is a good idea, but i think a clip on setup for the dash will be better for me. Think i will check out the local junk yards for some GPS units and see whats available.
