Interesting engine swap, I think if I was going to go to all the trouble I would have picked an LS3 to swap in. But I suppose it is no different than a SBC in a Mustang and I know I have seen many of those done. Nice work!
the old motor was knocking truth be told we like doing 1 of a kind stuff..
my 72 maverick grabber 412ci windsor with a carbon fiber hood not exactly 1 of a kind but who fixes up a maverick lol
51 ford with a duel quad 5.4 dohc AWD!!! runs and drives
we specialize in dohc ford motors so we have a few laying around to do stuff like this
no idea on the hp numbers will be a stock cobra with exhaust and pullys will post when we hit the dyno. maybe 450ish whp. as for the irs we did that on the 69 stang dont think we are going that far with this one.
Cool! I often think about putting a late model Ford motor in my 79. I don't have the budget for it and there's no way my hubby would help with that swap so I guess I'm s.o.l. Its great that it all fits under the stock hood.
I'd love to hear how you resolved the technical difficulties with this swap.
