Trying to get the retaining clip and contact assembly to come off, but have yet to be able to.
Any hints as to how to get the retainer to move....sure not much room inside that door!!!
And why are there two sets of electrical contacts to the door lock? One set would be for the factory alarm system, but what is the one that is attached to the retainer for?

I used angled needle nose pliers and once I got them on the retainer, I used another screwdriver to gently pry outward on the pliers. Gotta be careful what you use to pry on in there though. I doused everything in pb blaster to reassemble and it went together easier. Long needle nose locking pliers would have been perfect. My wiring did not come apart friendly so I ditched it in favor of non alarm early model locks.
AAAAhhhh....when all else fails....read the book!!!
Yes, alarm switch contacts on the key lock and anti-tamper switch up against the lock cylinder....never knew about the anti-tamper switches....so I have learned something new today.
And I was able to get the lock out....well one side anyways...have not tried the other side yet....but same method should work...hopefully.
