Battery problem
I just bought my 80 Corvette and found out that the battery will not start the car if it sits for more than 3 days. I did a test and disconnected the battery for some time and then hooked it back up to start the car and had no problem. What could be draining the battery? I am sure all the lights are out and the only thing running is the clock.

Usually the culprit is the courtesy light timer.
Do the interior lights come on when the door is opened and go off after a delay when its closed?
Pull the CTSY fuse and see what it does. There are a BUNCH of threads in here on this particular subject.Congrats on the new ride.

A lot of cars seem to have a problem with the timer that turns the courtesy lights off after a short delay. I believe it is located in the jack compartment behind the passenger seat. Try unplugging it and see if the car starts after 3 days. If that doesn't work then there is a procedure where you hook a test light between the negative battery cable and the battery and start pulling fuses until the test light goes out.
