Hi vb,
Quite an assortment of serious cars for sale.
Is there beginning to be people with that kind of money ready to buy again?
Regards,
Alan

Looks like it. The black/blue '67 actually sold at $610k. There were a few Corvettes that received bids that should have been enough but were no-sales, so there's still people willing to take them home if they dont oversell.

Thanks for the pictures Steve.
It seems there was something for everyone there.
The black L88 is......what can you say? Breath taking!
The Motion cars take you right back to the 70s.
While they are beautiful and great drivers (I would love to have one) I wonder what the future holds for all the high end LS resto mods?

They actually had an hour of the Mecum auction live on the Discovery channel, between two episodes of "Fast and Loud" that I just happened on by accident, looked like a good show, then they said I could watch the rest on the Velocity channel, which I don't get.
Some very nice corvette's thanks for posting the pictures.
Regards
Roy

Great question. While I'm used to seeing that amazing high end restomod at these events, I was a little surprised that there seemed to be so many. There were a few of them here... not sure if that means the market is strong, or if they would be considered less special... I dunno. How do they resell the second time? Nice stuff, though.

Default Market is a little ... strange

Been following this one for a while :

1970 Laguna Gray Corvette convertible, LT-1. Awarded Bloomington Gold and Survivor Certification in 2009 and NCRS Top Flight honors in 2010, it shows a mere 9,179 miles and is fully documented with the tank sticker, warranty pamphlet, original title and historic photos.

Bought at Mecum for $69K in 2008 by Pro Team. They sold it in 2012 for (as near as I can figure) $64K. Then that owner sold it at Mecum in JAN13 for $54K ! OUCH !

The current owner turned DOWN $62K this weekend at Mecum.

Love the color combo on that 68.The 95k bid is a big number for a 68 small block regardless of the low serial number.

The prices on the 70-72 LT-1/ZR1's were 150-225k with all 3 not meeting reserve.
