73 Throttle Position Switch?

There is a switch mounted on the accelerator pedal on my 73 that I believe operates the cowl induction flap & the kick down switch on the automatic transmission. I am trying to verify if this switch is functioning correctly or not. I disconnected the wiring to the switch & placed the leads on my ohm meter on the two terminals: accelerator depressed = open circuit. Accelerator not depressed = Open circuit. Shouldn't I have zero resistance with accelerator depressed? If this switch is bad where can purchase a replacement & what is the correct nomenclature?

The switch should show closed circuit with full throttle. It may need to be recalibrated by pulling up on the pin towards the gas pedal.

Thanks Mike, I'll have to take a closer look @ it tomorrow as I don't recall a pin but I am sure I'll figure it out
