Very new to all this and would like to know if anyone around the MPLS/STPAUL area would be willing to help "guide" me on this journey?
Bought a 73 coupe that runs great! It most certainly needs work and I've started on a few things just to make it safer to drive because my wife will be piloting a majority of the time. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to learning all I can about this car and so far have been enjoying the little bit of road time that I've been getting.
So far I've found more rust than I would have liked to see but the frame still seems strong. I will probably go through the rear suspension next, front still feels tight. Would like to upgrade to power brakes (wife... remember?)
Most my experience is with 4x4 vehicles that I can almost sit under without it being on a lift so this is quite the experience for me. Everything tucked tightly in such a sleek little package!!
Look forward to meeting/talking to members here!

For starters - I would suggest that you attend the Plastic Fantastic show in Wayzata - June 2nd - there will be close to 100 Corvettes in the show. You will be overwhelmed by all the help you will get - bring a notebook & welcome to the club

I can also assist with local questions - PM me if you have a specific question

I'm going to take your advice as well MCMLXI. It would only be a 30 minute drive for me. I just signed up to CF yesterday. I bought my 81 a few weeks ago and I would like to take it to a local shop and have them put in a keyless remote entry and alarm system. Hopefully I can find someone over there that had this done locally and can recommend a shop for me that they trust with their Vette.

MN81 - congrats on the new 'vette - it looks great - and welcome to the forum too ! If you make it to the show, you will have a great time - hopefully the weather will be ok ....
