Tires size
Corvette 76, stock wheels.
Currently have 15/70/215 in rear, and 15/60/215 in front.
(this is how I bought it)
I'm planning to order 15/70/225 tires for the rear wheels and move the 15/70/215 to the front.
Should it fit? will the 225 be too big for the wheels?

Put 225s all the way around...no reason to go with 215s on the front, unnecessarily skinny. Both of my cars have 225 70s, this is the stock replacement for the older GR70x15 tires. Previous owner was probably just clutching the pennies.

The factory tire in 1976 was GR70x15. Since the poster is unlikely to want bias ply tires, this converts to P225/70x15 in a radial. Perhaps your car was different if you bought it new, or they were installed by a dealer. GM did not make 60 series tires optional until 1978.
