Front end rattle
Noticed a rattling in the front end over bumps. Watch should I look for? Thanks

Might need a few details like what wheels brakes etc. Any recent work?

Ha ha ha.
It sounds like metal on metal to me. No work on the car lately. I am thinking either ball joints or sway bar bushings?

On a C3 it can be lots of things. Crawl under and look. Also idler arm, cracked cross member welds, power steering valve, A-arm bushings (C3's eat A-arm bushings).

#1 thing to check is for caliper/brake shoe rattle....I get that all the time and I'm 100% rebuilt suspension, drivetrain.
Just suggesting the cheaper option!

I've had 2 wheel rattles - brake pad and top hat wheel cover.

Shot A-arm bushings or front sway bar link/bushings, are both possible. Worn out shock absorber bushings, can cause a metal to metal rattle too.

The a-arm bushings are shot. Thinking about replacing all the front end bushings including ball joints and cutting my springs to lower the front end
