Not the beercap, the bolt. found it in my driveway after I moved my vet. Any ideas? It's too big for the steering coupling, and they're all there anyway.

Nope, all accounted for. Notice the 12 point head. I thought maybe a caliper bolt?

Maybe from PO and it fell somewhere inside the engine bay and he never found it. . Actually here is the bolt. http://dmpfasteners.com/shop/bolts-76/12-pnt-db-270/. Not sure but if you have a stick, maybe a bolt for the clutch assembly.

3/8 standard thread, looks like about 1" long. I'd guess header bolt just from the appearance. But if they're all there, maybe it got dropped and replaced?

My vote is non-stock w/ the 12 point head.
I do like the Yeungling bottle cap though.

Not steering related they're all there. Not header. I do have a stick so I'll look at that. 2 other clues, i found it on the driver side and there's no oil on it. I just replace the motor so something came loose. Engine mount?

With my luck, I'll drive the car and when I'm at the furthest point away from home, the other bolt will fall out. I'm assuming there's 2 of these holding something together.

Looking at the threads, it looks like it has been out of its hole for awhile. I would say it was a bolt that got dropped at some time, never found and got replaced. Probably just finally came loose and fell to the driveway.

The only 12 sided bolt I ever saw while dissasembling my Corvette was the rag joint bolt.
