my dog love to go for rides. I was taking the 79 out an my older dog was soo upset that he wasn't going with. so I folded the seat down flat an we went down to Huntington beach dog beach
my dog rowdy the black and white loves to go riding cars truck motorcyles. my wifes dog is the white and yellow she is brain dead an spoiled as **** but still who says the c3 cant be a family car lol
The girl dog was far too dumb to take for rides for that very reason. So we put a leash splitter through the bottom of the box an clipped it to her harness to prevent such a situation. I very rarely if ever took her for rides. The other dog would never jump too smart for that. He would ride on the fuel tank for a hundred miles when I let him. We rode up to big bear one weekend with him on the tank he loved it.
I'd like to take my dog on my bike, but I dont think she'd like to be confined like that. Would also love to take her in the vette, but would be afraid of her scratching up the seats.
My hound only gets to ride in the truck, and the wife's car.

i fold the passenger seat flat so he sits ontop of the back of the seat and she chooses to hang out in the back only.
he loved that box we built the box for long rides b/c riding on the tank he would fall asleep. For the box I used a large ups box then fiberglassed it to be about a 1/4 thick all around. Then laid it with Velcro on the inside with dog bed material that could be pulled out to wash. an the outside wrapped in leather from a bike shop. He could curl down inside the box and sleep when he wanted and hop up front and ride on the back seat when he didn't it was awesome fun for us both. I sold the bike after being hit on the 605south
That box sounds like it was pretty well thought out. For some calmer dogs, its probably pretty safe. My dog is real good in the car, but I just dont know what she'd be like on the bike.
Dont know how bad your accident was, but glad to see that your still here
It wasnt bad enough todo anything but completely freak out my wife. She was hit in 2010 an never came back from it as far as fear and over enjoyment of the bike. After her crash she didn't walk right for over a year. Then I came home scratched up an bike all thrashed an she LOST IT. I told her the only way I was selling the bike is if I could get a corvette an now I've gotten 79
Here is a link my wife's bike crash a woman in a blazer took her leg out with the extended tow ball on her truck
No ****! I have ridden across India an Kansas MANY MANY times with out a helmet but in Cali closed face helmets should be the law! Population damn near guarantees a crash out here. 12 lane freeway all 12 are gridlocked an the people who cut traffic get pinched its horrible to ride in Cali. I loved riding up to Santa Barbara and to big bear but not worth dying over
Closed face helmets are a necessity

I have a '72 Superglide and a '68 Electraglide that sit in my garage rarely, if ever, used! I've been riding since I was 16 and I rode all over the country. I'm not, "Then Came Bronson", but I did my fair share of riding.
Florida drivers scare the everlovingshit outta me. They are either too old to still be driving, or too young to be driving in the first place.
I'd rather sell them, then ride 'em. And that's what I plan to do.
the riders that want to repeal the 'helmet laws' should look at the last photo. plastic surgery is very expensive.
I agree, but there are too many LAWS that try to do the thinking for us and tell us what's good for us. I still feel, "Let those who ride, decide", just like cigarettes- you wanna smoke, you wanna die early? We're all adults here.

True dat.
To the OP: Shame about you and the Mrs. both getting knocked off your scoots. Sent a cringe down my spine to look at that open wound, ugh. Thank God for big touring bikes, though as an infrequent rider, any one of them won't save your bacon if the offender is in anything bigger than a small car. Size matters.
Wearing some tough leather and the brain bucket helps during certain "events" but is no guarantee if you're T-boned or sideswiped. Ride safe.
thanks guys yeah we came out better than expected the both of us. she was in the car pool lane regular traffic stopped lady in a blazer never even looked just jumped into carpool and drove right over my wife we are lucky she is alive. the printed link is a video a nurse took of them pulling the knee back to clean it in the or pretty knarly http://s1194.photobucket.com/user/je...98313.mp4.html
