Default 1980 lighted vanity mirror-right side

Purchased new visor and vanity mirror. Mirror seems too large for the visor. But working on this for a while and seems like i rememberer old mirror was quite large too. Is replacement supposed to be this way or did I get the wrong part.

Also any trick to attaching it to the visor. I have searched everywhere and cant seem to find anything specific about this.

Thanks,

I have never taken mine off, so I can't help you with the attachment method, but it is too large looking for the visor.

I always thought it looked like an after thought that didn't quite work.

I believe the replacement mirror currently available is the only one you can get without going NOS or good used.
