you cant tell unless you look at the old rubber falling apart bumper but big improvement. my car is proof that c3s are intoxicating because I must've been drunk off my *** to buy this 79. I am two years in I wont even mention how much money spent an she still needs a little bit of everything. now that I am driving it though it gets me excited just to turn the key and I am glad I own it. my fav part is that in the day light beating straight down on it she's bright purple mid day really dark purple and at dusk look jet black I love that color.
Your car looks great. Take it from a fellow '79 owner, don't ever add the money spent on the car, just keep upgrading it as best you can and enjoy every minute of it, as I do. I look forward to seeing your car on the upcoming rides to Long Beach and to Solvang.
Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, try to remember how much money you've spent on your Corvette.
Owning an old car is NOT a rational thing. It's for fun, and because life is short.
Just enjoy it.

I flew from Winnipeg to rural Arizona to buy my 80. It was exactly what I wanted. So far, it's been worth every credit card bill, every scraped knuckle, every time I eat supper and it tastes like 10W30.
How intoxicating are C3 Corvettes? Even my buddy got sucked in. I think he loves my Vette more than I do, which is handy when I need someone to help me fix it.
I miss living by the beach, can't wait till I can move back to Kona! I don't even bother with adding up the receipts I have for my 76, I know I have more into it than I paid for it but am not going to worry about it.
