YES! although it was up and down the driveway a couple of times before, this was an extended run (on side streets, etc) for the first time. ran and drove great! it came to my house about 4 years ago on TWO flatbed trailers....PO had taken it completely apart, then became totally overwhelmed with the project.

That does look and sound great, you've done a great job. Not a lot of people can build a car out of a bunch of boxes!

YES! this is a very rare COPO car built for a GM executive, it was the prototype for the astro ventilation, they scrapped this version for a more refined version and added doors and a hood. thanks for noticing! LOL
ps, thanks for the complements! Rick

It sure looks and sounds good, Rick! I'm jealous, my ZZ4 is as quiet as a church mouse. I have 2 1/2" exhaust, but the roller cam is very quiet, and it quietly goes pop, pop, pop at idle. My 327-350 made all kinds of loud noises. Lou.

Very good!! Thanks for sharing. It brought on a Deja Vu moment for me. I couldn't wait to drive my '68 after finishing the chassis and getting the body back on and engine running. So with no bumpers, hood or top, I bungee corded the doors shut (because they had no glass or latch mechanisms in them) and sat on a milk crate while I took it for a spin. It was about 30 degrees outside but I smiled all the way around the block.
My neighbor, who is a cop, saw me pull up the drive in the half assembled car. He just shook his head in disbelief that I had done something so blatantly illegal in front of him and smiled.

Razman,
That is genius! I am going to try your no-doors air conditioning option in my black/black bb no AC coupe in south Florida. I might actually be able to drive it during the summer down here that way..... But seriously, a 68 bb project like that, what a wonderful experience for a father and a 20 year old son to share. My 30 year old son will drive 80 miles down just to help me change the oil in "his" vette. I have to keep reminding that I am still alive!
Really nice work.
