1981 Horn mystery
I have a 1981 Corvette with a horn issue. Horn was working fine but seemed to go off whenever any pressure was put on the steering wheel. Then one night the horn stopped working. Several days later, the horn started to work again but still sensitive to steering wheel pressure. Now the horn has stopped working again. Could it be a bad horn contact button? I have an adjustable, telescopic steering wheel. Have any ideas or people with similar issues? Thanks

My 81 does this when you push the telescoping lock lever too far to the right (locked) position the horn will sound. I believe it has something to do with the contacts being out of alignment and or dirty in the steering wheel hub.
