I have 79 L82 auto and the windshield paint does not come up high enough to cover the backend of the dash. It looks like sometime in the past the windshield must have been replaced and the wrong year windshield installed.
Has anybody had any success in painting the backside of a windshield. Has anybody else ever had this problem. I hate to discard the current windshield it is in great shape. Any suggestions?
I tried to put a wimdshield out of a 77 into my 80. Same problem, I removed the windshield and got one made for an 80.
If you don't want to remove it, try some dark window tint. It may hide the area that you see.
We once painted the inside of a Monte Carlo back glass on the inside with black paint and from the outside it just looked like black tint. It didn't look so hot on the inside but It had a speakers taking up the entire rear seat and you couldn't see out the back anyway.
