Since I own a C6, I usually hang out in the C6 forum. I thought I would wander over here to say I saw a beautiful white C3 on my way home today (I believe it was a 72) and it reminded me of what made me fall in love with Corvettes to begin with and why I have my C6 today.
I was a teenager in the 70's and remember wanting a Corvette so bad but couldn't afford one. I guess the C6 styling reminds me of the C3 closer than any other generation and that's what made me get one. I would love to also have a C3 someday..
Anyhow, just wanted to say I love to see those C3's on the road and thanks to you guys that keep them looking so fantastic. They are to me, the essence of a Corvette...
Interesting the difference between the 2. They are light years apart in all cases. After driving a C6 Z06 and driving mine for a number of years they are enjoyable in a different way. The C6 Icould drive for hours. The C3 is a different story. The C3 smells, is very loud, fast yes, rattles, has wind noise and is just very coarse in its manners. Nothing wrong with that at all. That is why I love driving it. The C6 is just a smooth rocket. With the Ac blowing, stereo pumping and just plain comfort it rockets your butt around in extreme comfort and realiability. I wish I could afford both. Nothing like the looks of the C3 though.

If I had the money for another toy, I would love a C3 in the garage too. Although if I brought another Corvette home, the wife would probably divorce me....but that would open up that extra parking spot in the garage I would need for another one...
Couldn't agree more! The really lucky guy is the one who owns a C3 AND a newer generation vette. I have the C3, but can't afford a C6 (or the C7 I'd love to have) yet. Maybe some day ...

The early C3 was the one that caught my eye when I was young and it's the one I've always coveted. Maybe someday I'll get there. In the meantime I read a good bit in the C3 section as well as the C6 area.
