Thank you. I purchased a windshield wiper compartment cover off eBay came from corvette central is a cover stock or just after market? Th400 would not shift had to replace gear on governor. Replaced modulator valve and tube. New carb, replace power steering control valve, new exhaust, fuel regulator ,new tires but I guess that's not a lot. Car had been stored for 8 years. I traded my 1962 dodge d200 I worked for 3 years even trade for vette.

Nice looking car and you're right - they are not easy to work on. Looks like you could use some weatherstripping. Willcox has a great product from CRC.

Corvette Central sell them ABS plastic cover for the wind shield wiper compartment. After market Helps have smooth look . I get alot comments on the color.

The one I ordered didn't fit flush enough against the windshield. The wipers would want to find their way under the cover. ZIP sent a replacement and that fit worse. BTW- ZIP is very agreeable to work with. Anyway, I ended up scraping a lot of dried out caulk and re doing that compartment without a cover.
